A. Putar saklar pemilih ke posisi ohm.

B. Probe merah (+) ditempelkan pada

kutub katoda dan probe hitam (-) ditempelkan pada kutub anoda. Jika jarum pada papan skala bergerak berarti dioda baik, jika diam berarti putus.

Selanjutnya dibalik : Probe hitam (-) ditempelkan pada kutub katoda dan probe merah (+) ditempelkan pada kutub anoda. Jika jarum diam, berarti dioda dalam kondisi baik, jika bergerak berarti dioda rusak.
